Rotarians see a world where people unite and take action to create lasting change across the globe, in our communities, and in ourselves.

Six words define the birth of the Rotary Club of Chilliwack After Hours.

DREAM IT – BELIEVE IT – ACHIEVE IT

The vision of an evening club in Chilliwack is now a reality tonight through our official recognition and chartering as the Rotary Club of Chilliwack After Hours

This club is a new Rotary model and we will work hard to accept this responsibility.

Thank you to each of the charter members who believed in and accepted the challenge to create a new Rotary club.

We are all here tonight to celebrate the charter of our new Club and to commemorate this momentous event. The charter solidifies the club’s identity and strengthens our belief that we can achieve success.

The Rotary Club of Chilliwack After Hours is now ready to set the stage for our active participation in this community through meaningful service projects.

We must be patient as it will take some time for us to develop our own culture, character and traditions and for all those members who are new to the Rotary family to learn how they fit in to this organization.

A huge thank you to our 3 sponsoring clubs – Chilliwack Mt Cheam, Chilliwack Fraser and Hope.

Most importantly - thank you to each new member! Every one of you plays a major role and is integral to our success. You are all the life giving blood of the club and without you there would be no Chilliwack After Hours Rotary Club.

Let us Be the Inspiration”  and fulfill our commitment to help others in our community, our country and our world. May we abide by the rules we have established, those of trust, fellowship, ethics and may we place Service Above Self in our daily endeavors. And may we always test ourselves and our efforts to be sure they are the truth, good for all concerned, of benefit to mankind and provide peace and understanding.

In closing, a quote from the great Greek orator, Pericles, who lived 495 to 429 BC and his words are still applicable today –

“What you leave behind is NOT what is engraved in stone monuments,
but what is woven into the lives of others.”
