A big thanks must go out to all our members who helped through sourcing out donations from the community; who donated a dessert, or some even baked something themselves to contribute. A huge thank you to the community members who generously supported this event through their donations. There were 22 desserts, from cakes and cookies to cinnamon buns, in total supplied by our club and others.
The decor, meal, music and crowd were exceptional! A highlight of the evening for many was the Rotary Club of Chilliwack After Hours dessert auction, which drew considerable attention and support. The bidding for our desserts was brisk and generous ranging anywhere from $45 to over $235. The cake donated by Kat’s Cakes brought in the biggest bid.
There were approximately 120 people enjoying the evening of food, fun and festivities. Thank you to our club members who were able to purchase tickets and came out to enjoy the fun.Special thanks needs to be given to Pres. Patti who worked long and hard on this event. She set up, emceed, baked cookies and also participated in the bidding and took home one of the many desserts being auctioned. As well special thanks to Joan who helped organize the desserts and the auctioneer.
